RwResumeWriting.com
Not just another AI resume tool

Built on 25 years of
real resumes.

Most AI tools were trained on everything. This one was built on one thing: what actually makes a resume win a job interview.

How This AI Was Built

The founder of the longest-running resume service in North America
built this himself.

Brian McCullough

Founder & Engineer, ResumeWriting.com

I’m Brian McCullough — venture capitalist, podcaster, and the author of one of the definitive books on the history of the Internet.

But before all that, when I was graduating from college in 1999, I founded ResumeWriters.com. Over the last 25+ years we’ve grown it into the longest-running and most trusted professional resume writing service in North America — employing hundreds of Certified Professional Resume Writers who have written hundreds of thousands of resumes.

I’ve always enjoyed the fact that wherever else my career took me, I’ve been helping people find jobs. I’ve been helping people improve their lives.

As the founder and owner of ResumeWriters.com, I’ve had tens of thousands of resumes pass through my hands over more than two decades. Few people in the world have a better sense of what makes a resume win — and what doesn’t.

When the ChatGPT moment happened, I knew it would transform resume writing. But — at least immediately — it wasn’t good enough to fulfill the potential I saw for it in terms of helping job-seekers. Over the last 3 years, I’ve been hard at work experimenting with various AI techniques to see if I could turn AI into the type of tool for job seekers that ResumeWriters.com has been for 25 years.

ResumeWriting.com is the culmination of that work.

This website, this AI, was built and engineered on 25 years of experience at ResumeWriters.com. All the prompt engineering, all the training, all the tooling decisions were carefully crafted to create a truly great resume that general-purpose AI simply can’t produce.

ChatGPT and other general-purpose AI tools can write a good generic resume because they’re designed to be good at everything… and anything… but not great at specific things.

Your resume can’t be generic. It needs to be specific. It needs to be specific to you.

This is my dream resume product. It will produce what ChatGPT can’t: a resume that is exactly you, if you wrote it on your best day. And it does something that was impossible before: it will take that “you-perfect” resume and optimize it for every job opening you apply to.
