Welcome to ResumeWriting.com. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ResumeWriting.com (the “Service”), operated by EditMeNow.com, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
ResumeWriting.com is an AI-powered resume tailoring tool. You provide a resume and a job description; the Service generates a tailored version of your resume aimed at that role. The Service uses third-party large language models, currently including Anthropic’s Claude API, to produce its output. ResumeWriting.com is a sister product to ResumeWriters.com, our human resume writing service founded in 1999.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
To use most features, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported single sign-on provider. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at help@resumewriting.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You retain ownership of any resumes, job descriptions, personal information, and other content you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, transmit, store, and transform Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — including transmitting it to our AI provider for the purpose of generating tailored output.
You represent and warrant that:
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of every claim in your resume.
The Service uses generative AI to produce tailored resumes. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and may rephrase or mirror language from the job description you provide. You are responsible for reviewing every tailored resume before using it for any purpose. Do not submit AI-generated output to an employer without first reading it carefully and confirming every statement is accurate. You may not use the Service to fabricate credentials, embellish employment history, or otherwise misrepresent your qualifications.
We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in any particular outcome, including an interview, a job offer, passage through any Applicant Tracking System (ATS), a specific match score against any job posting, or recognition by any employer or recruiter. Hiring decisions depend on many factors outside our control.

We may offer a free tier that includes a limited number of lifetime credits. Free credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may be modified or discontinued at our discretion. A “credit” is consumed when you initiate a tailoring; iterations on the same tailoring within our published iteration cap do not consume additional credits.
Paid subscriptions, including our Core plan, are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly unless otherwise stated) through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel. You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then. Except where required by law, we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods or for credits already consumed.
Career Vault is an optional retention plan that preserves your tailored resumes and account history at a reduced rate. Career Vault does not include credits for new tailorings. Career Vault renews annually until cancelled.
We may change subscription pricing or plan terms. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any change to a plan you are subscribed to, and the change will take effect on your next renewal. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. In summary: resumes and tailored outputs are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption (AES-256-GCM with per-user keys managed via AWS KMS); inputs sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, are transmitted under a Zero Data Retention arrangement, meaning Anthropic does not retain your data or use it to train its models; and you may delete your account and associated content from your account settings.
We own all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including the website, software, prompts, templates, design system, and brand assets. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use during the term of your subscription. You retain all rights to Your Content and to the resumes generated for you, which are yours to use, modify, and submit as you see fit.
We may promote ResumeWriters.com (our human resume writing service) within the Service. You are under no obligation to use ResumeWriters.com.
The Service relies on third-party providers including Anthropic (AI), Stripe (payments), Supabase, AWS, and Cloudflare. Your use of the Service is subject to the applicable third-party terms where they apply, and we are not responsible for outages, errors, or actions of those providers.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER WE NOR OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, OR LOSS OF DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50.00).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResumeWriting.com, EditMeNow.com, Inc., and our officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your submission of inaccurate or fraudulent information to a third party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason in our reasonable discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. Sections 4, 5, 7, and 13–22 survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
